Sir my son got 74% mhcet.and a Christian minority applicant. Please give me a good college and course in Mumbai region.

Hi sir my son got 88.50 percentile in MHT cet exam and our caste is sc and we have Maharashtra domicile so which college he can get in mumbai with great placements his preference is cs or it branch. Also do we have home university reservation for him as he passed his hsc exam under mumbai university

Ans: Hello dear.
Please try with VJTI, ICT, Thodomal, SPIT, etc. The chances with top colleges for CS seem to be challenging. Try with lower-tier colleges or, if necessary, a tier 1 college, and be prepared for a branch compromise option.

my bank did not deduct TDS but my interest income crossed 100000. I am senior citizen. do I still need to report this when filing returns?

Ans: Yes. Bank may or may not deduct TDS on your interest income due to any reason, You have to declare this earning in your ITR & pay due income tax, before filing your ITR.

Ans: Since your son has purchased a house in June-2025, i.e., within one year before the Sale of his house property (September-2025), he won't have to pay LTCG tax. This is because, he has invested his LTCG in purchase of a house property, within time limit of one year.
