Career

My daughter got BTech BioTech in VIT Vellore and considering management quota BDS in Sri Ramachandra or Saveetha (NIRF #1) as well. Which one would be a better choice...?

Ans: Hello dear.
Both biotech and BDS are diversified fields. You did not mention the interest of your daughter. BDS can be a promising option if she is inclined towards it. Yet among the two, it would be better to prefer BDS.

Prefer BDS @ Ramachandra if she is interested in the design field. Else, go with Bitech.

Ans: With an SC category rank of 2600 in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), admission to IISERs is unlikely, but not impossible. While the top IISERs like Pune and Kolkata are highly competitive and likely out of reach, some of the newer IISERs, like Berhampur and Tirupati, might have a chance in later counselling rounds if vacancies arise.

Ans: With a 93.66 percentile and a General-EWS rank of 13400 in JEE Mains 2025, you have a good chance of getting into some NITs, particularly for less competitive branches or in later rounds of counseling, especially with your home state quota for Rajasthan.
