I am about to get admission in a pvt college in cse branch i just want to know what should i do to get a package of 10-20 lpa is it possible to get this package from a 3tier college

Ans: Yes 100% POSSIBLE, if you fulfill/adhere to the following:

1) Maintain the CGPA till 4th year, preferably 8.50 and above without backlogs
2) Involve in Co/Extra-extra Curricular Activities
3) Upgrade your skills from 1st to last year till Campus Recruitment Drive through NPTEL, Internshala, Coursera, LinkedIn etc. and / or recommended by your College Faculties.
4) Maintain good / professional relationships with all your Faculties.
5) Create a Professional LinkedIn Profile
6) Connect with the Professionals of your domain (not to ask for jobs)
7) Keep updating your LinkedIn Profile every 3-months
8) Put Job Alerts on LinkedIn to get notifications of job vacancies / know the current Job Market Trends to upgrade yourself.
9) Keep going through the JD (Job Descriptions) whenever you get alerts of Job Vacancies to keep yourself updated.
10) Start preparing the Assessment Test / Interview once you enter into 4th year for Campus Recruitment.

Ans: KJ Somaiya is a reputable institution. It has a good track record in placements and academics. Consider factors like faculty expertise, infrastructure, alumni network, and industry connections. Attend college events, interact with seniors, and gather insights about placements. Remember, a 50LPA package is ambitious but achievable for that you have to explore platforms like Coursera, edX, and Udacity. Certifications in data science, machine learning, cloud computing, etc., can boost your resume. Consider certifications from organizations like Microsoft, Google, or AWS.
Also you have to focus on practice regularly on websites like LeetCode, HackerRank, and GeeksforGeeks offer practice problems.
Prepare for technical interviews. Understand data structures, algorithms, and system design. Most importantly you have to craft a well-structured resume highlighting your skills, projects, and achievements.

I am 64 years of age. My assets and investments are as follows. 3.85 crores in stocks, 1.60 crores in Mutual Funds, 50 lakhs in deposits, 1.40 crores in real estate and I also own a house. I have 70 lakhs in annuity and the payouts (38000 pm) go directly into mutual funds as SIP. I have no loans or any other commitments. My wife is not a senior citizen. How to I earn a tax-friendly monthly income? The only major source of expenditure will be on international travel, at least once a year. We do not have any health insurance cover.

Ans: You must get a good health insurance policy covering both of you. Under Sec80 D it provides deduction upto 50K per year for Senior Citizens with additional 5K deductible towards preventive health checkup. For more avenues of tax optimization it is advisable that you consult income tax lawyer/CA.

I had 100 shares of Motilal Oswal Financial Services as on June 1, 2024. They announced 3:1 bonus issue with a record date of June 10, 2024. How should I treat my share holding for Capital Gains purpose at the time of selling these shares in part lots : a.100 shares @ the original share purchase rate and 300 shares at NIL rate? b. 400 shares each @ 1/4th of the original purchase price? Need clarification in this regard.

Ans: Option a. As mentioned in your question is the way how it would be looked at, from capital gain tax perspective (100 shares at original price & date of purchase & 300 shares at zero price with date of allotment as reference for determining LT or STCG)

Hi! I am aged 64 years, was last working in an organization where i retired at age of 58 in 2018. I had allocated UAN number thru which i withdrew accumulated epf of that comoany. Now i want to join a company , will i be allowed to enrol for epf and if basic is around Rs 10k would i be elible for esic or as i am 64 not eligible for both. Please guide

I am senior citizen, have severe jaw pain, problem started after RCT in 2020. Consulted many dentists, few more rct redone, impacted tooth also removed. Treatment for trigeminal neuralgia going on for last 4 years, and recently treatment for oromandibular dystonia , medicines added. TMJ specialist treatment with splint and night guard also going on for lat 1 .5 years. Not much relief with left side jaw pain. Have shoulder and neck pain also. Please advise. Thanks,

Ans: Hello
It’s sad that you've been suffering for the past 4 years and no lasting solution has been provided. It is quite possible that your problem is not dental in origin. You have clearly stated that you have consulted several dentists (including a TMJ specialist) so it is safe to assume that you no longer have any untreated dental infection or abnormality.
My advice to you would be to consult a reputed Neurologist or Pain Management specialist.

Ans: If your Aadhaar and bank details are linked on the UAN portal and your UAN is active, use the Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar). You can fill and submit the form directly to the EPFO office without requiring attestation from your employer.

Hi experts, I am still waiting for a response. Reposting Hi, Question with regards to EPF My wife quit working in 2015 and post that there hasn't been any EPF contribution. We haven't withdrawn her EPF as we didn't need the money. Please can you let us know if the below A. Is our money safe since its been 10 years and there hasn't been any contribution B. Will she be getting any interest? C. If we withdraw the amount now and will there be any tax implication on the withdrawal? Somewhere in one article I read that the money not withdrawn within 36 months will be given away to senior welfare fund. This has got us all worried as the only reason we didn't withdraw is we didn't need the money and kept it for a rainy day. Please can you answer this question at the earliest as we are really worried about our EPF money post reading the article. Also, could you help us out with the process to withdraw the PF amount.

Ans: EPF account turns inoperative after 36 months of consecutive NO contribution. Hence no interest accrues on such inoperative accounts. Your spouse needs to visit nearest EPF and complete formalities to activate and withdraw the EPF balance. You may need KYC documents and letter from her last employer.

I am a single woman without children after the recent death of my husband. In his PPF, he has left me and his mother as 50% nominees each. The mother predeceased my husband. Am i entitled to only 50% of the PPF share as nominee, or can I claim the entire 100% since my husband's mother is not alive to claim her 50% share? Also, what is the procedure to claim this PPF amount from the concerned location? Can I ask for the entire share to be released to me or will the authorities question me about the 50% share of my deceased mother-in-law?

Ans: In case your husband or MIL has a legally valid will then it will help because Legal Will supercedes nomination and it can enforced through Courts. In the absence of a Will you may have to get a succession certificate issued by Court. Also you will need affidavits from your sister-in-law or their heirs regarding their No Objection to you receiving the balance 50% share of your husband's PPF account nominated in favor of your MIL. Also plz. Seek legal advice if required.

Why do you think so? It is not compulsory to choose a medical field if somebody opts for PCB in the 12th. There are many degree / diploma / certificate courses which will help to stand in the future. There are ample success stories when students crack the CA exam after 12th science. Even you can think so! If you know the basics of computers then you can join multiple job-oriented computer courses to get a job in the IT field. if you are creative, you can join to Arts degree/diploma courses. By doing this, you can start your business or get a job in multimedia companies, Advertising companies, film cities, and a lot more.
If you have art or skill in any field, success will be there always. Explore your potential and choose the right field. No need to get frustrated. In life, nothing is dependent on PCB. If not satisfied, leave it and search for the better one.

Mam /sir exactly that the situation is I m confused what to do I had decided to do paramedical but then a student told me rajasthan just delay exam and it took hi 2 years and he hasn't still given his 1st year exams so I want to leave this field and enter some else can u please suggest a best one I know I have delayed but I really want a guide

It seems that you are from Rajasthan. If one college cheated the students, that does not mean others are also cheating the students. The decision you have taken for Paramedical is a good choice. Before taking admission to any institute, you must take a brief review of the course curriculum, faculty, examination criteria, placement record, campus, etc.

To solve your problems, it is better to talk face-to-face with a good counselor in your city/area.

No it's actually a govt. Council which conducts exam can u tell me some other field which can give a promising carrer I am good in academics and creative thing I just want a guide and I can't find any counsellor here they charge a lot of hefty amount
