My son 95.3 % in jee mains 2025 OC Caste , get CSE, ECE at on any NIT or IIIT or GFIT

Ans: Hello
With a 95.3 percentile your estimated All India Rank would be around 50K. CSE would be difficult for open category student. There are few tricks that you can follow and go above 98%ile with little more efforts and can get a seat in good NIT or IIIT.

Hello sir, my son has secured 97.36 in JEE mains 2024. We belong to the OBC(NCL) category. Having chance to get CSE in top NITS and IIITs.
Ans: Sir,

Congrats to your Son for scoring 97.37 percentile in his JEE (Main).

Chances & Options for your Son Here:

1) As far as Top NITs are concerned, getting admission into the CSE Branch will be SLIGHTLY difficult.
2) As far as Tier 2 & Tier 3 NITs are concerned, chances are higher for your son to get a CSE Branch.
3) As far as IIITs are concerned, your Son can EASILY get admission into any one of the Top IIITs.

Sir, I hope you might be aware of the Opening & Closing Ranks for OBC of last year & also about Home State / Other States Category.

Shortlist the Top 5 NITs & IIITs & apply for all and choose the most suitable one for him for his bright future.

Wherever he joins, here are some practical Tips / Steps / Strategies for your Son to follow to be COMPETENT in the Job Market and land a good job once he finishes his Graduation:

While Pursuing his BTech:

1) Make sure that he continues to maintain a decent Score / CGPA / Percentage till he completes his BTech.
2) Joins 2-3 Co-curricular Activities Club (related to his Domain) & also involves in extra-curricular activities.
3) Creates his Professional LinkedIn Profile, from his 1st year.
4) Gets connected to professionals of the same domain, but NOT asks for jobs (after he completes his BTech). If his profile matches their requirements, they will be in touch with your son.
5) Every 3-months, keeps updating his LinkedIn Profile to add his recent achievements/certifications etc.
6) Starts researching about the companies that visited the College during the last 3-years & know their nature business/manpower requirements in the ‘Career’ Section through their websites.
7) Most important: He should start doing Certification Courses either online / offline, related to his domain (from 1st year itself), to be competent in job market.
8) NPTEL & Internshala are some reputed Certification platforms he can join. And/or he can join any other Certifications, recommended by his Faculties in your College.
9) Puts Job-Alert Notifications in LinkedIn, related to his domain, from 1st year itself, to know about the current job market scenarios/employers’ expectations.
10) Keep upskilling your knowledge & skills till he completes his BTech.

Just Before / After Completing his BTech:

1) Just before completing his BTech, he should prepare well for the Campus Recruitment Written Test / Interview / Group Discussion, whichever will be applicable.
2) He starts applying for jobs also through LinkedIn Job Alerts, if the Job Description posted by the employers/recruiters/companies, matches his profile.
3) Keeps his ‘RESUME’ professionally prepared. His ‘Resume’ should be simple & brief with keywords, related to his domain, with his LinkedIn Account’s clickable link.
4) And, he should keep upgrading his skills, to be competitive in the job market, even after he gets the job.

Hope I have cleared your doubts, Sir, for your son with value additions.
