"For CSAB 2025 counselling, my OBC-NCL certificate is issued in August 2025, but my income certificate is from November 2024. Will this cause any issues during document verification or at the college reporting stage, especially for claiming the OBC-NCL fee concession? If yes, will I be given time to submit a new income certificate?"
Ans: HI,
Yes, an OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate is necessary for fee concessions in JEE CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counseling, but it's not the only document required. While the OBC-NCL certificate verifies your eligibility for the reservation, an income certificate is also needed to determine the extent of fee concession you are eligible for. Generally, an income certificate from the current financial year is preferred, but some institutions may allow an older certificate with an undertaking for a newer one, especially if you're short on time. So you can request them while appearing for the counseling.

My daughter whose is very good in studies, is confused between doing MBBS then MS bioinformatics or primarily do Btech Bioinformatics. We are pursuing pcmb . Which pathway is more stable and rewarding . Thank u regards
Ans: HI Sir,
Do you have any idea about the scope of BIOINFORMATICS?
Asked on - Aug 08, 2025 | Answered on Aug 08, 2025
Not much at present ..hence asking ..what is the scope of btech bioinformatics
Ans: Hi Sir,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to share some thoughts on how to select a career program that can sustain us throughout our lives, even after retirement. It is essential to choose a program that will serve us effectively rather than settling for a course that might be a waste of time and resources.

It's important to distinguish between fashion and passion, as well as between passion and practical realities. We should be cautious about selecting a program simply because it is available online; such options may not be suitable for long-term career development. In this context, I believe that Bioinformatics is not a viable choice. Moreover, this course can be pursued at any time virtually.
When considering a career in Bioinformatics, it's crucial to ensure that it aligns with the current job market demands. After completing the course, one should pursue a career related to their core subjects rather than choosing any available option. Bioinformatics itself is further divided into various categories, such as Health Informatics and Nursing Informatics. The term 'informatics' pertains to the management and processing of information. However, be wary of courses that seem to be accessible to everyone; if everyone can pursue a course, it may lead to high competition and diminished job prospects.

Given that your daughter has completed PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology), she may consider pursuing a career in either engineering or the health field, such as medicine, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), nursing, or pharmacy. In the medical field, there are two main pathways: Indian medicine and MBBS.
The Institutions offering bioinformatics programs often make enticing promises to attract students, but many tend to shift the blame onto students upon course completion.

Therefore, I recommend that let her focus on either the engineering field or the health field. Once she chooses a path, she needs to acquire the knowledge and skills specific to that field. Motivate her to concentrate on building her career rather than merely seeking a job.

If you need any further details, please feel free to reach out.

Best regards,

My daughter has taken admission at Nitte Minakshi at Bangalore in CSE core but recently she has been offered a seat in Jaypee noida sector 128 in IT course. Please suggest should she take admission here at noida after withdrawal from Nitte.
Ans: Hi Sir,
I recommend pursuing Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).

In this comparison, I am focusing on the program rather than the institution.

Reason: The curriculum of CSE is generally broader than that of Information Technology (IT). CSE includes fundamental principles of computer science, algorithms, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), software engineering, and system design. In contrast, IT tends to concentrate more on the practical application of computing technologies to address real-world business challenges.

Scope of CSE: The scope of CSE is extensive, offering a solid theoretical foundation and a research-oriented approach. This leads to a variety of career paths, including software development, research, and advanced technology roles.

Her future plan is to do job in software industry.
Ans: How about PG?
Asked on - Aug 07, 2025 | Answered on Aug 07, 2025
No, right now there is no planning for PG. Placement and academics is the main concern.
Ans: HI SIR,
I want to address aspiring students regarding their inquiries about placement opportunities. It's important to understand that placements primarily depend on the students themselves, not just the institutions.

When selecting a program at any institution, there are two major factors to focus on:

1. Academics (including both theoretical knowledge and practical lab facilities)
2. Faculty strength and experience

Many aspirants overlook these crucial factors. Reviews or opinions from third parties may not accurately reflect the true quality of a college.

Do institutions typically disclose that their teaching methodologies differ from others? No.

Do they share whether they comply with regulations set by educational authorities? No.
This lack of transparency can negatively impact students' education.

Additionally, many institutions conduct practical sessions in group settings rather than on an individual basis, which limits hands-on training. Unfortunately, many students show a preference for group tasks, which can lead to challenges during recruitment when individual skills are evaluated.
No one will consider the above two factors. But the other factor they will concentrate on.....which is nothing but placement.
If you visit the website of any of the institutions, they might have shared the statistics of placement activities.
As for placement statistics, institutions often claim that 100% of their students are placed each year. This is misleading.

In reality, at least 20-25% of students choose to pursue higher education, and about 5% may opt to start their own businesses. If you request evidence of placement success, institutions might provide records that are not relevant to current outcomes.

Regarding your daughter's situation, I don't know her academic strengths or attitude, but simply attending campus recruitment events will not guarantee success. Candidates need to prepare thoroughly before interviews. She should focus on becoming employable. There are many graduates in the job market, but not all are truly employable.

Here's what she should consider doing:

If she decides to pursue a job, she should prepare accordingly.
- Encourage her to gain knowledge in her chosen field.
- Internships in the industry can provide valuable experience.
- She should work on developing soft skills.
- She might also consider pursuing additional courses related to her interests, as this could enhance her employability.

Many candidates do not realize that campus recruitment offers advantages over external job search methods since it allows them to better understand their competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, creating more opportunities.

Please note: If she intends to pursue higher education, I advise her not to participate in the recruitment drive, as this could negatively affect both the institution's reputation and the opportunities available to others.

If you have any further questions, I am happy to share my thoughts.
BEST WISHES.
