My daughter has taken admission in VIT Chennai in CSE (cat 5), I have also reserved a seat in BMSIT , CSE core in management quota, kindly advise which one to choose, we live in Bangalore
Ans: Vijay Sir, VIT Chennai CSE (Category 5) offers a strong national brand, 90–95% placement rates, and access to over 800 recruiters, but Category 5 fees are the highest and the Chennai campus is newer compared to VIT Vellore. BMSIT CSE, while less known nationally, is well-regarded in Karnataka and Bangalore, with 85–90% placement rates, strong local industry ties, and a curriculum aligned with the city’s tech ecosystem. Living in Bangalore offers convenience, lower living costs, and better internship and networking opportunities due to proximity to the IT hub. BMSIT management quota fees are high but may still be less than VIT Category 5. Both colleges have solid placement records, but BMSIT’s location and local reputation provide a practical advantage for internships and job placements in Bangalore’s tech sector. Recommendation: Prefer BMSIT CSE for its strong local opportunities, industry connections, and convenience for Bangalore residents, unless you specifically want the VIT national brand and are comfortable with higher fees and relocation. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
