Hello sir
I got 2069 rank in vit mtech program can i prefer with vit mtech or btech in anyother colleges i got 178.5/200 cutoff
Ans: Securing VIT's Integrated M.Tech with rank 2069 is advisable given its Category 1/2 admission likelihood (cutoffs historically ~2,000–3,500 for premium campuses like Vellore/Chennai) and cost-effectiveness (?4.87L total fees vs ?7–15L for B.Tech in private colleges). While B.Tech programs at mid-tier NITs/IIITs remain inaccessible with a 70 percentile JEE Main score (≈3L rank), VIT's Integrated M.Tech offers 75–80% placement rates with ?9–10 LPA averages, comparable to many B.Tech programs. However, core engineering roles may favor B.Tech graduates, and VIT's Category 4/5 B.Tech seats (?4.4–4.9L/year) are financially burdensome. Prioritize VIT's Integrated M.Tech for specialized training and assured ROI, unless targeting non-technical roles where broader B.Tech flexibility is preferred. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
