Sir, Im a chemical engineering aspirant. I chose chemical because i like to explore theoretical science practically and would also love to do research in science field after btech if possible. Please guide me about what exams i should take, how should I plan my future. Do i have opportunities in this Field? Im now currently a JEE repeater. Im scared what if i couldn't get a IIT/NIT.
Ans: Joseph, As a chemical engineering aspirant, prioritize JEE Main/Advanced for IITs/NITs, but also target BITSAT (BITS Pilani), MHT CET, VITEEE, or SRMJEEE for reputable private institutes like BITS, VIT, or Thapar, which offer robust research ecosystems and 85–95% placements in sectors like pharma, renewables, and environmental tech. Post-B.Tech, pursue GATE for MTech/PhD at IISc/IITs or explore integrated programs like IISERs (via IISER Aptitude Test) for direct research pathways. If IIT/NIT is unattainable, opt for NIT Trichy/Warangal, Jadavpur University, or ICT Mumbai via state exams (WBJEE, MHT CET). The field’s growth in green energy (projected 8% CAGR until 2030) and R&D roles in academia/PSUs ensures opportunities even from non-IIT/NIT institutes. Confirm curriculum alignment with AI/ML integration and industry collaborations during enrollment. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!
