Ans: Mayuri, With a 98.35 percentile and JEE Mains rank of 25,625, your nephew’s rank is below the usual cutoff for IISc Bangalore’s B.Tech programs, which typically require ranks under 1,000 in JEE Mains for general category candidates. IISc primarily admits students through JEE Advanced or specialized exams, making direct admission via JEE Mains unlikely. Hope he appeared for IAT Exam also. Advise him to try for IISER also if he is much interested in Research Studies (preferred IISER Campuses are Pune & Kolkata only). As back-up options, tell him to fill in maximum number of his preferred choices in JoSAA too. All the best for his admission and a bright future!
