Hi sir, I am getting cse integrated mtech in VIT vellore and cse core in srm. I am very confused, please help.
Ans: Pradeep, Choosing between VIT Vellore’s Integrated M.Tech in CSE and SRM’s B.Tech CSE depends on your academic interests and career goals. VIT offers a 5-year program combining undergraduate and postgraduate studies with advanced technical skills and specializations like Data Science. It awards both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees, enhancing career prospects and higher education eligibility. Admission is based on 10+2 marks without an entrance exam. SRM’s B.Tech is a 4-year program with a solid curriculum and decent placements but lacks the integrated postgraduate advantage. If you seek specialization and research opportunities, VIT is recommended; for a shorter duration and flexibility, SRM is a good choice. My suggestion: Prefer CSE-BTech. Gain 2-3 years work experience post your UG, then go for PG in India or abroad, if possible, affordable & only if the need arises. All the best for your admission and a bright future!
