I have given NATA scoring 129. Class 12 aggregatevis 61.4% and PCM makes 49.3%.
Given JEE Main paper 2A also. Final rank yet to be declared. Session 1 percentile is 75.
What are good B.Arch colleges that I can apply for. As per new eligibility criteria by COA, its PCM aggregate should be 45% if I am not wrong.
Thanks
Ans: For top colleges like Sir JJ College of Architecture, the cutoff is very high. Admission there typically requires a combined aggregate (50% of NATA + board percentage) around 150 or more, and a JEE Paper 2 percentile close to 90+. Your combined aggregate (50% of 129 = 64.5 + 61.4 = ~125.9) and JEE percentile (75) may be below their cutoff, so chances there are low.
For other good B.Arch colleges accepting NATA and/or JEE Main Paper 2 scores, the cutoff percentile for JEE Paper 2 is generally around 85+ for general category, and NATA qualifying marks are 70+. Your percentile of 75 in JEE Paper 2 is somewhat below this, so colleges with lower cutoffs or those giving more weight to NATA may be better options. Apply to reputed private and state-level architecture colleges that accept NATA scores and have moderate cutoffs.
Consider colleges with lower JEE Paper 2 cutoffs (below 85 percentile) or those that primarily consider NATA scores.
Keep an eye on counseling rounds as cutoffs vary each year.
Some examples of good colleges accepting NATA and JEE scores include CEPT University, and other state universities and private institutions listed in various admission portals. All the best for your admissions and a bright future!
