My daughter has appeared for her 10th Boards (CBSE) and she is not clear (including us) about the stream she should choose in 11th.She is average in Maths and science and doesn't have much interest in these subjects. Being engineers ourselves we are inclined towards this field but not sure whether that would be the right field for her. Could you please suggest the appropriate stream and befitting career options for her? Many thanks.

Ans: You have NOT mentioned your daughter is studying in which Board (State/CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE) and how much percentage of marks she has been getting. And what about her performance among all 9th students in School?

It is highly advisable to be involved in physical activities at least for 45-minutes daily for her physical health.

Engineering / Design/Research career options will be suitable for her.

She should start preparing for Entrance Exams (either with self-study or by joining any online/offline coaching class). As she is now in 9th standard this year, she should preferably start preparing for targeted entrance exams to get admission into any one of the reputed colleges. (1) Now itself, please go for a 'Psychometric Test' for her, which will recommend the top 5 streams suitable for her, based on her Aptitude, Attitude, Interest, Pesonality & Orientation Style.
(2) It is also advisable to prepare for Entrance Exams, based on Psychometric Test Result, from 10th itself if possible. If not, definitely from 11th.
(3) If she is weak in Maths, she should definitely attempt CUET exam to get admission into any one of the Central or State Universities for 3-Year Degree programs, based on Psychometric Test Recommendations.
(4) Due to peer influence, most students get confused about which career path to choose.
(5) As such, Psychometric Test will be the only solution.
