My daughter is giving her cbse class XII exams,she is interested to pursue her career in chemical engineering.Pls tell me the colleges in India who have best faculties & good placement record.Also pls tell me the pros & cons and prospect of pursuing chemical engineering.

Ans: Hello Subikram
The best are IITs. Then ICT Mumbai is one of the oldest and best for Chemical. Then comes NITs, BITS, VIT, Manipal etc.
Pros: Wide industry scope like oil, pharma, food, energy etc.
High demand in core industries: Refineries, petrochemicals, and pharmaceutical companies.

Cons:
Core jobs can be location-specific. Many chemical plants are located in industrial zones (not big cities).
Fewer core jobs compared to CS/IT. Core chemical roles are limited compared to IT placements.
In some jobs you may work in: factories, refineries, chemical plants
Higher studies or specialization often improves career growth.

But in future scope is there. Green energy. Hydrogen fuel technology. Battery technology. Environmental engineering.

chemical has a good scope, but more plant-related jobs will be there. she can get into paints & pigments, petroleum etc.

Hi sir if I am unable to produce ews certificate during josaa counselling and I will produce declaration also to change to general. Will I get any seat allocated to my rank as general after the declaration?

I got admission letter from JKLU and I'm considering Jaypee, NMIMS Mumbai, SLIET. I want to know what more options I have, please help

Ans: Chances with Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, NMIMS Mumbai, and SLIET are there. For more options, consider Thapar and KIIT and good state colleges (via Chandigarh/other state counselling). Don’t expect AI/ML in NIT/IIIT as Gen cutoff is 93–95+ percentile
