Hello ma'am,I'm a 37 year healthy person,during a random blood sugar testing i was handed a reading of 290 fasting sugar and 320 pp sugar levels,strangely i dont feel any of the symptoms of diabetics,i rarely get hungry,my legs don't hurt don't have sudden blood sugar level spikes,i only eat when I'm hungry and walk and exercise and eversince then i have totally left sugar,white bread n maida and all spike inducing foods,i haven't started any medication just having karela juice two times a day,i want my diabetics to go into remission and have my pancreas to heal naturally( have already brought down my fasting sugar level to 200 now in a month ) please suggest necessary dietary amendments and other helpful insights to lead healthy and normal life
Ans: Blood sugar levels may rise due to hormones being released in response to stress as well. It would be advisable to check with your physician. Follow a healthy diet comprising of complex carbohydrates, adequate protein and low fat foods. Include whole grains, beans, fruits, vegetables, lean meat, eggs, etc. Do aerobic and strengthening exercises daily and have meals with low glycemic index and load. Have small, frequent meals.
