Ans: Proper meal selection and portion control are key components of a diet that lowers blood sugar levels. Limit your carbohydrate intake. Choose complex carbs, which digest more slowly and raise blood sugar levels more moderately, such as whole grains, legumes, and non-starchy vegetables. Boost your fiber intake. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, beans, and peas are among the foods high in dietary fiber. Low glycemic index (GI) foods raise blood sugar levels more gradually and subtly. Among the examples are legumes, nuts, whole grains, and vegetables. When protein is consumed with carbohydrates, blood sugar levels can be stabilized and sugar absorption slowed down. Include heart-healthy fats in your diet, like those in nuts, seeds, avocados, and seafood like mackerel and salmon. Minimize added sugars and refined grains. Managing blood sugar levels can be facilitated by regulating portion sizes. Exercise regularly.
