If i sell my shares of about one lac and purchase shares of other cos for 1 lac + accrued profits, do i have to pay income tax?

Ans: 01. You have not mentioned, whether share you want to sell are covered under LTCG or STCG.
02. If covered under LTCG, , it shall be exempt up to Rs.1.25 lakh, & rest, if any shall be taxed.
03. You are free to purchase shares of other companies, with the sale proceeds
