My daughter studied in IGCSE curriculum till 10th now she has joined SSMRV college for PUC taking PCMB.. With JEE Mains coaching... Can she get in any of the IITs by writing JEE or by studying AS and A level in IGCSE she can get into any of the IITs she wants do research in Genetics or Molecular biology... Kindly suggest

Ans: Please note, (1) To get admission in to any one of the top / other IITs, (a) she should be highly dedicated / self-motivated to prepare for the same with the help of JEE-Coaching Classes (b) As she has joined PUC with SSMRV, I assume, she is into Karnataka State Board. She has to thoroughly go through NCERT Books of PCM of 11th & 12th Standard, apart from her JEE Coaching Center Materials (c) To know the JEE-Preparation-Strategies, please go through one of my answers here in RediffGURU. (2) As far as her interest in Research is concerned, she should appear also in IAT Exam for getting admission into any one of the 7-IISERs (Indian Institute of Science Education & Research). (3) And, it is advisable to appear in, minimum 5-7 Entrance Exams (including JEE / COMEDK / KCET) to have an unlimited number of options to choose the best and most suitable one, keeping in view a number of factors such as, (a) Your Daughter's Interest (2) College/University (3) Stream (4) Specilization (5) Her All India Rank (6) Category (7) Affordability of Fees (8) Location Preference etc. All the BEST for your Daughter's Bright Future.
