Hello sir, my son got 132070 CRL in JEE mains and 95.6% in CBSE 12th science from Gulf. He wants to pursue BTech in CSE. We are confused to choose between: COEP, IIIT Gwalior,IIIT Jabalpur, IIIT Kanchipuram. Not sure if he can get in NIT-Nagpur or NIT Jaipur .Above is considering chances as per gulf quota through DASA scheme for NIT,IIITs and direct in COEP with gulf reservation. Is COEP Pune better than IIIT/Mid ranked NITs?

Congrats to your Son who scored 95.6% in CBSE.
Whatever Institutes you have referred are good individually.
However, it is suggested to go for COEP as his 1st preference, if he gets confirmed admission under Gulf Reservation Quota, as COEP is one of the oldest Universities in India. Besides, COEP is a better-ranked University, compared to other Institutes which you have referred to here.
As 2nd option, he can go for IIIT-Kanchipuram (near Chennai) as job opportunities are more in Bengaluru / Chennai, compared to Gwalior / Jabalpur & other Mid-ranked NITs.
If he chooses any one of the Mid-ranked NITs, make sure they have good Campus Placement Records during the last 3-years.
Wherever he joins, here are the tips/strategies he should follow while pursuing, just before and after completing his BTech, to be COMPETENT in the job market:
While Pursuing his BTech:
1) He should make sure, he continues to maintain a decent Score / CGPA / Percentage till you complete your UG without backlogs/arrears.
2) He joins 2-3 Co-curricular Activities' Club (related to your Domain) & extra-curricular activities.
3) He creates a Professional LinkedIn Profile
4) He should connect to professionals of the same domain but not ask for jobs (after he completes his BTech). If his profile matches their requirements, they will definitely be in touch with your son.
5) Every 3-months, he should keep updating his LinkedIn Profile for recent achievements/certifications, etc.
6) From the 3rd year onwards, he start researching about the companies, visited the College during the last 3 years & know their nature of their business/manpower requirements in the ‘Career’ Section of their websites.
7) Most important: From 1st year itself, he should start doing additional Certification Courses online, related to his domain, to be competent in the job market.
8) He should put Job-Alert Notifications on LinkedIn, related to his domain, to know about the current job market scenarios/employers’ expectations.
9) And, above all, he should keep upskilling his domain till he completes his BTech.
Just Before & After Completing his BTech:
1) Just before completing his BTech, he should prepare well for the Campus Recruitment’s Written Test / Interview / Group Discussion, whichever will be applicable.
2) He should start applying for jobs through LinkedIn Job Alerts, if the Job Description, posted by the employers/recruiters/companies, matches his profile.
3) He should keep his ‘RESUME’ professionally prepared. Make sure his ‘Resume’ is simple & brief with keywords with his LinkedIn Account’s clickable link. Include the SUMMARY Section in his Resume as the Summary Section is the only Section that Recruiters / Employers read.
4) And, he should keep upgrading his skills to be competitive in job market always, even after he lands into job after his BTech.
