Hello sir,
I have completed my b.tech and have 5 yrs of experience in IT industry. I took break of 5yrs on maternity. Now I feel I can't take the IT industry pressure with family commitments and 2 small kids around. What is the suitable career for me now? Can I write any govt exams as I am 32 now.?
Ans: Thank you for reaching out to me on Rediff Gurus. Transitioning to a career that offers a better work-life balance and aligns with your family commitments is a wise decision. With your background in IT, you may transition into project management roles where you can utilize your organizational and leadership skills. Project managers often have more predictable schedules and may offer opportunities to work remotely. You can work as a freelancer or consultant as well. It will allow you to have more control over your schedule and workload.
Regarding Indian government exams, while age restrictions may vary depending on the specific exam in our country, many government exams have strict age limits. You can find it at https://www.employmentnews.gov.in/
Kindly research the eligibility criteria for the exams you're interested in and check if you meet the requirements. You may be eligible for various government exams related to administration, banking, or public service.
I believe balancing family commitments and career aspirations is possible with the right approach and planning. Best of luck! Feel free to contact me on Rediff Gurus if you need further assistance or help.
