Hi Anil, I am expecting to receive a large corpus from a real estate sale soon. I am not keen to reinvest the full amount in real estate apart from maybe a basic house. For the rest I am confused whether as a safe investment I should invest in Government Bonds or FDs in a nationalised banks? Suggestion please.
Ans: For a safe investment of a large corpus, consider a combination of Government Bonds and FDs in nationalized banks. Government Bonds offer low-risk, guaranteed returns and are backed by the government. FDs in nationalized banks also provide stability and often offer competitive interest rates. Diversifying between these options can balance risk while providing steady income. Evaluate the interest rates, lock-in periods, and tax implications to choose the most suitable mix for your financial goals and risk tolerance. Consulting a financial advisor can provide personalized guidance tailored to your situation.
