Ans: I am sorry to hear about your health problems. Managing protein intake with Parkinson’s disease can be a bit challenging, as it can affect the absorption of certain medications. As protein is essential for overall health, especially for muscle maintenance, wound healing, and immune function, it is important not to eliminate protein entirely from your diet. Ensure you’re getting a variety of nutrients by incorporating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet. These can help with constipation as well. It might be helpful to work with a registered dietitian who can tailor dietary recommendations to your specific needs and help you balance protein intake with medication schedules.
