I am 38 years old govt Bank employee.My spouse is a software professional and we have a 6 months old daughter.We don't own a house and we are getting rental from bank itself so we don't need to pay rent from our pocket.I can get home loan on low interest rate.We are indecisive about buying a flat because we are not going to live in near future say 10-15 years in that flat as I have a transferable job and need to move every 3-4 years.We are very disciplined in our savings.But since we don't own a house we are in a fear of moving out as property prices are going very high. Is it better to take a loan of 1.20 cr now for a flat in which we are not going to live and maybe put on rent ( but also not convinced in renting the flat ) or should we save till my retirement and then buy a flat with full down payment.?

Ans: This is my personal opinion that if you plan to buy a house, think of the place where you shall be settling down at one point of time or retirement. The alternative may be your native place. Since you both are having decent jobs then you can go for even 20 Years house loan at concessional rates from your bank. Placing house on rent can be done with taking all the reasonable legal aspects into account. Please consider all your life goals and plan accordingly. Hi , I am 44 yrs old and having working wife and two son of 17 yrs & 5 yrs... elder son is down syndrom.. joint monthly take home is 2 lacs.. having 85 lacs of mutual fund.. 18 lacs in PPF, 32 lacs in EPF, & around 25 lacs in others like FD, saving, shares etc.. monthly saving around 1.2 lacs including 75K SIP, 18K PPF, 25K EPF etc... Having Own home at my native place.... Want to know that should I go for new Flat purchase at location where I am residing in rented house of monthly 14K excluding electricity or continue my investment in place of Home loan... I hv opted new tax slab and my wife is in old tax... my target to have 15 CR at the age of 60
