My age 38 , my glucose level fasting 176 and after eating 242. My HBA1C is 7.3. I want to control it by diet and excercise. I dint want to eat medicine . Please suggest . Will it effect my other organs.

Ans: Thank you for your query. I will respond as a Physiotherapist and rehabilitation professional, not as a medical doctor. It is great to know that you want to control your blood glucose level and want to reduce HBA1C level. Definitely diet and exercise do have a lot of role in reducing blood, especially high protein, less carbohydrate, and a combination of aerobic and resistance training. However, it cannot be substituted for evidence-based medicines. I would suggest for your betterment, please continue medication under supervision of your doctor and continue with aerobic and resistance training along with calorie control and stress managment. You will see a lot of improvement and may be your doses of medicine will also reduce very significantly .
