Which one is better for PhD in Pharmacology: Sharda University with student fellowship or Lovely Professional University with Catagory A cutoff marks in LPUNEST 2025?

Ans: Both universities offer robust PhD programs in Pharmacology with distinct advantages and research focuses. Sharda University demonstrates strong research infrastructure with faculty holding PhDs from prestigious institutions like NIPER and BHU, focusing on neuropsychopharmacology, inflammation pharmacology, and pharmacoepidemiology. The university maintains NIRF rankings of 57th in pharmacy category for 2025 and offers student fellowship opportunities with well-equipped laboratories and international collaborations. Their faculty have published extensively with Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta guiding over 22 M.Pharm students and 3 PhD scholars, while Dr. Satyender Kumar brings NIPER expertise with multiple patents and peer-reviewed publications. LPU showcases impressive research output with over 50 publications annually in Scopus-indexed journals and DST-SERB funded high-end equipment, including specialized software training for students. The university provides comprehensive financial support through LPU Research Fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for eligible candidates and LPUNEST-based scholarships up to 60% of program fees for Category A cutoff achievers. LPU maintains strong industry collaborations with pharmaceutical giants like Biocon, Lupin, and Dr. Reddy's for mentorship programs, while their faculty blend academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial backgrounds. Both institutions offer essential elements including qualified faculty, research infrastructure, publication opportunities, industry connections, and financial assistance, though LPU demonstrates superior research output metrics and industry engagement.
LPU emerges as the superior choice due to higher research output, better financial support through monthly fellowship and substantial scholarships, stronger industry partnerships, and comprehensive student development programs that align perfectly with contemporary pharmaceutical research demands. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Sir is sharda university good for bds? And which is a better option bpharma vs biotehnology vs chemistry vs bds pvt or mbbs from pvt
Ans: The School of Dental Sciences at Sharda University is affiliated with Sharda University, approved by the Dental Council of India, and holds NAAC accreditation (CGPA 3.27). Established in 2006, it offers a five-year BDS curriculum across seven specialties, supported by over 30 experienced faculty members, modern dental clinics, digital radiology and simulation labs, and a 12-month compulsory paid internship within its NABH-accredited hospital. While it does not maintain a formal placement cell for BDS graduates, strong community outreach, patient-case exposure, hands-on training, résumé workshops, and support for postgraduate entrance prep equip students for clinical practice and higher studies.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) at Sharda University is a four-year, PCI-approved programme with eight specialized laboratories (pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacognosy) and PhD-qualified faculty driving research and teaching. In 2022–23, 40 of 58 eligible BPharm graduates (69%) secured positions or higher-studies opportunities through the central placement cell and industry internships. A robust curriculum aligned with PCI norms, industry tie-ups for internships, and soft-skills workshops bolster employability.

BSc Biotechnology and BSc Chemistry (offered by various private universities) deliver core training in molecular biology, bioinformatics, analytical techniques, and advanced chemistry labs. Biotechnology graduates find roles in R&D, quality control, and bioprocessing with 80–90% internship-to-placement conversions, while chemistry majors enter pharmaceuticals, environmental labs, and academia with placement rates of 60–75%. However, structured placement support varies widely among colleges.

Private MBBS programmes, recognized by the National Medical Commission, ensure 100% internship placements in affiliated teaching hospitals, competency-based medical education with early clinical exposure, and faculty-mentored community rotations, but carry significantly higher tuition and require competitive entrance scores.

Recommendation: Given the rigorous DCI-approved BDS curriculum at Sharda University with immersive clinical training and strong postgraduate prospects, pursuing BDS at Sharda University offers a reliable foundation in dental sciences. For broader healthcare roles, private MBBS delivers unparalleled clinical exposure and career flexibility, albeit at higher cost and competition. BPharm provides a balanced blend of industry placements and research pathways, while Biotechnology and Chemistry offer specialized research and lab-based careers but with variable placement support—choose based on your long-term career focus and financial considerations. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Physiotherapist - Answered on Jun 13, 2026

Health
I have asked this question 3 weeks ago and still no response. Please can someone address this. Hi health expert, I have been struggling with severe health anxiety for many years now. I am currently in my mid-40s and I think this started after a traumatic experience around 10–12 years ago. We had gone on a family vacation and shortly after returning my uncle fell seriously ill. After diagnosis we found out he had advanced stage cancer and we lost him within a few months. The shock of that experience affected me deeply and ever since then I have lived with an intense fear of cancer and serious illness. Even small things like a stomach ache, a pimple, swelling, fever, or any unusual sensation trigger extreme fear in me. I immediately start thinking the worst and it causes sleepless nights and constant worry. This has seriously affected my quality of life. Along with the anxiety, my OCD symptoms also become very intense during these phases. It feels like there’s a voice in my head constantly telling me to perform certain rituals like praying immediately, drinking water at a specific moment, not switching off the AC, or doing random actions “or else” something bad will happen. It becomes mentally exhausting, and at times I struggle to function normally in my daily routine. I have consulted several psychiatrists and psychologists over the years, but I still feel unhappy and stuck. I am reaching out here to ask if anyone has experienced something similar or found anything that genuinely helped whether coping techniques, home remedies, calming practices, or anything else that brought some peace and stability. Basically I am looking for some home remedy and also want to check is this something rare or they are people who goi through this.
Ans: Dear Sir/ Madam. Thank you for reaching out. I am responding as Physiotherapist which is allied health care professional and not as core medical professional. As a physiotherapist, I want you to know that what you're experiencing is not rare many people live with this cycle of health anxiety ..A simple but powerful home remedy is diaphragmatic breathing: inhale slowly for 4 seconds, hold for 2, exhale for 6 seconds, repeating for 5–10 minutes whenever a trigger arises. Progressive muscle relaxation (tensing and releasing each muscle group from toes to head) can also calm your nervous system and break the urge to perform rituals. Gentle, mindful walking outdoors for 15–20 minutes daily helps ground you in physical sensations rather than fearful thoughts. I strongly recommend to also visit a Psychiatrist as well as clinical psychologist specializing in exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, which is highly effective for health anxiety. Additionally, consult family physician to rule out any underlying medical issues, which may ease your fears. Keep taking small steps. I wish you quick recovery
