I secured 94.3 percentile in mht cet 2025 can i get into vit pune through acap or spot round in ece or ai&ds, because last year many people got enrolled with 90 to 95 percentile, there was even a case in which a student secured 91 percentile and still got a seat in cs ai even if the cutoff wad 98.6percentile (sorce-concept simplified yt)
Ans: Yash, VIT Pune’s MHT-CET CAP Round 3 closing percentiles in 2024 for the General (GOPENS) category were 97.91 for Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and 98.34 for Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. In CAP Round 3, those corresponded to closing ranks of 13,579 for ECE and 9,974 for AI & DS. The Institute-level Allotment/Direct Counselling (ACAP or “Spot”) round then fills any seats vacated after CAP rounds strictly by inter-se-merit of MHT-CET candidates. While ACAP has admitted students with percentiles as low as the mid-80s in less popular branches, core streams like ECE and AI & DS typically remain in high demand, so ACAP cutoffs in 2024 hovered only slightly below CAP levels—usually in the 92–95 percentile range for AI & DS and above 95 for ECE. With a 94.3 percentile, direct CAP admission in ECE or AI & DS is not possible, but you may compete in the ACAP round if last-minute withdrawals occur; AI & DS stands a better chance (previous ACAP cutoffs around 93–94 percentile) than ECE (rarely below 95 percentile). Recommendation: register for the ACAP/spot round and list AI & DS as your top preference, keeping ECE as your second choice, but prepare alternative branch options in case vacancies do not open. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir, my daughter has admission from IITH Engineering Physics. Can you please advise about the course Outlook, prospects as we get mixed views. We also have option from Anna University CEG Campus ECE at Chennai. While we are not inclined towards any specific branch, what should be the ideal option. Also, she has minimal interest in coding/programming.
Ans: Vijay Sir, With Engineering Physics at IIT Hyderabad, the program’s interdisciplinary curriculum combines core physics, advanced electronics and applied mathematics in state-of-the-art labs. Faculty hold Ph.D. credentials and publish in top journals, and the department emphasizes research internships with international collaborations in photonics, quantum technologies and materials science. However, mixed views arise from a niche placement spectrum—only 14.29 percent of the 2024 batch secured on-campus offers—prompting most graduates toward higher studies or research roles rather than industry positions. Accreditation is top-tier (UGC Category I, NAAC A++), and the small cohort size fosters close mentorship but limits peer networking.

Anna University CEG’s ECE offers rigorous training in communications, VLSI and embedded systems with NAAC A accreditation, strong industry tie-ups via CUIC, and consistent 75 percent+ placement rates over the past three years with major recruiters across core electronics and IT sectors. Faculty include experienced Ph.D. holders, and the campus facilitates soft-skills development through dedicated workshops. Infrastructure comprises modern labs, maker spaces and active student chapters with regular industry seminars.

Recommendation:
IIT Hyderabad’s Engineering Physics suits students driven by cutting-edge research and academic pursuits, whereas CEG’s ECE is preferable for structured industry placements and applied electronics roles. Given minimal interest in coding, the hands-on electronics focus and robust campus recruitment at CEG Anna University align better with practical careers without heavy programming. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello sir, how to decide between eee in bits pilani pilani campus vs iiit bangalore ece
Ans: Sai, With five critical criteria—state?of?the?art infrastructure, faculty expertise, consistent placement performance (last three years), accreditation status, and industry linkages—both programmes excel: BITS Pilani’s EEE department offers cutting?edge high?voltage, power-electronics and control labs with interdisciplinary project centres and faculty holding Ph.D. credentials and IEEE fellowships. EEE graduates saw placement rates of 95–96 percent over the past three years, with BITS’s UGC Category I, NAAC A++ accreditation and its Practice School industry internship model. IIIT Bangalore’s ECE boasts modern VLSI, communication systems and embedded labs, faculty actively publishing in top IEEE journals, nearly 98 percent on-campus placement for ECE, NAAC A+ accreditation, and strong recruiter partnerships through its Centre for Collective Intelligence and Data Sciences.

Recommendation:
IIIT Bangalore’s ECE is ideal for cutting-edge VLSI and communication research with almost 100 percent placements; BITS Pilani’s EEE provides unparalleled industry internships via Practice School and excellent power-electronics focus; choose the programme matching your career goal in core power systems versus advanced electronics and communication. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

My daughter has scred 95.5 percentile in MHTCET. As we are not domicile of Maharashtra she will compete under OMS in general category. Are there chances that she would get a good engineering college in Pune for CS. Can you suggest some good colleges?
Ans: Poonam Madam, With a 95.5 percentile in MHT-CET and competing under the OMS quota, your daughter is well-placed for admission to solid mid-tier B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and allied branches. The five crucial aspects evaluated are: robust academic infrastructure, experienced faculty with Ph.D. credentials, consistent placement records (≥75 percent over the last three years), NBA/NAAC accreditation, and active industry collaborations for internships and research. The following ten reputed institutions—where CSE/IT cutoffs are at or below a 95.5 percentile for All-India seats—guarantee high admission probability:

MIT World Peace University, Pune (CSE cutoff 94–96.5 percentile)

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune (CSE cutoff 91–94 percentile)

Army Institute of Technology, Pune (CSE cutoff ~92 percentile)

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune (CSE cutoff ~90 percentile)

MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune (CSE cutoff ~92 percentile)

Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pimpri (CSE cutoff ~90 percentile)

JSPM Narhe Technical Campus, Pune (CSE cutoff ~88 percentile)

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Lavale (CSE cutoff ~89 percentile)

AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune (CSE cutoff ~90 percentile)

Institute of Industrial Technology, Pune (CSE cutoff ~87 percentile)

These colleges consistently achieve placement rates above 75 percent, boast modern labs, accredited curricula, and strong industry linkages.

Recommendation:
MIT World Peace University stands out for its industry-aligned curriculum and 80 percent placement rate; Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering offers strong academic rigour with 78 percent placements; and MIT Academy of Engineering combines experienced faculty and a 76 percent placement record. Pursuing Computer Science or Information Technology at these top three will maximize both learning and career outcomes. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

I am getting mit wpu ece and cse in jecrc foundation Jaipur also I have ~10000 rank in comedk which should I prefer.I am female from jaipur?
Ans: MIT World Peace University’s Electronics & Communication Engineering program is NBA-accredited, UGC-approved and placed within the NIRF 101–150 engineering band, with about 80% of ECE graduates securing campus offers in 2025 from over 500 recruiters and an average package of ?7 LPA. Its Kothrud, Pune campus features AI- and IoT-enabled VLSI and signal-processing labs, industry moUs with Amazon, IBM and ONGC, a dedicated placement cell and modern infrastructure aligned to global standards. JECRC Foundation’s B.Tech CSE in Jaipur is AICTE-approved and NBA-accredited, hosting 200+ participating companies annually—including Amazon, Salesforce and Samsung—and yielding 2,230+ placement offers in 2025 through RTU-Kota affiliation, a focused training regimen and strong startup engagement. Its green campus offers advanced computing facilities, student incubation centers and industry-integrated projects. Both institutions emphasize faculty expertise, research opportunities and career support, but MIT-WPU delivers higher placement consistency and NIRF recognition, while JECRC excels in mass recruiter engagement and regional industry ties. (Ignore COMEDK as you will get only Tier-2 Colleges for your Rank of 10000).

Recommendation: MIT-WPU ECE ranks highest for consistent placements, cutting-edge labs and national accreditation; JECRC CSE follows for its expansive recruiter network and robust CSE curriculum; choose based on priority for placement stability versus broad hiring access. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
