I HAVE BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, ENGLISH, SANSKRIT in 12th CBSE BOARD
Ans: HI,
According to NEP2020 (CBCS pattern) a candidate can choose the following pattern.
A candidate admitted in the academic year 2025-26 has to complete the selected program by 2031-32 (on multiple exit and entry option under FOUR/THREE YEARS PROGRAM).
The UG program shall extend over FOUR ACADEMIC YEARS (Eight Semesters) with multiple entry and exit options. The students can exit a course as follows:
i) Certificate course: ONE academic year (I & II sem & a summer vocational course and community work).

ii) DIPLOMA COURSE: TWO academic years (FOUR SEM + SUMMER /VOCATIONAL COURSE AND COMMUNITY WORK).

iii) THREE-YEAR DEGREE COURSE WITH A SINGLE MAJOR (WITH 2 MINORS)

iv) THREE YEAR DEGREE COURSE WITH DOUBLE MAJOR

v) THREE-YEAR DEGREE COURSE WITH THREE CORES AS MINOR STREAM (WITHOUT MAJOR).

vi) FOUR-YEAR HONOURS WITHOUT RESEARCH AND MAJOR

vi) FOUR YEARS HONOURS WITH RESEARCH
(EXTRACTED FROM SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY FOR REFERENCE PURPOSE)

MOST IMPORTANT:

Twinning courses pursuing simultaneous dual degree:
A student can pursue two academic programs one in full time PHYSICAL MODE and another in OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING/ONLINE MODE; or upto TWO ODL/ONLINE PROGRAMS SIMULTANEOUSLY, provided that in such, class timings for one program do not overlap with the class timings of the other programs.

CHANGE OF SUBJECTS:
A STUDENT CAN CHANGE HIS CORE (I) SUBJECT WITHIN 4 WEEKS OF THE LAST DATE OF ADMISSION WHIICH HAS TO BE DULY COMMUNICATED TO THE UNIVERSITY BY THE COLLEGE CONCERNED. THE CHOICE OF CORE (MAJOR/MINOR) SUBJECTS DURING THE FIRST ADMSSION TO THE 3RD SEMESTER HAS TO BE EXERCISED BY THE CANDIDATE AFTER PROPER COUNSELLING BY THE COLLEGE AUTHORITIES THRU THE CELL.

KINDLY NOTE:
It is important for you to decide which course you want to pursue.

In your case, your institute should offer various options ranging from certificate programs to four-year degrees. However, you have chosen the three-year program with two majors without referring to the institute's prospectus. It seems that the available options are not accurately reflected on the website. Even as an autonomous institute, they should keep their information updated and easily accessible. Therefore, I recommend discussing this matter with the principal, the department head, or other higher authorities at the institution. Additionally, I believe it may be possible to transfer from one university to another, but I am not entirely certain about this. I suggest checking the guidelines for more information.
