got 97.2 tile in mhtcet till now vit pune cutoff for cse and related branches ar 97.8 to 98.8 so can i get it in spot rounds or acap and also tell me more good cet college at my percentile i am genral from maharashtra also tell probability of dj sanghvi and pict

Ans: You did not mention the status of the CAP 3 round. Chances with CSE @ VIT & PICT Pune are challenging. You may get branches like IT, AI/DS, or E&TC, and you still have good options like MIT-WPU, DJ, and other reputable CET colleges at your percentile. Better to opt for CSE @ MIT-WPU.

Good luck.

Sir in cap 3 my list is very short only good colleges in didn't get allotment dj sanghvi cutoff is also high this time and in vit there are 4 different branches of cse with different specialization. So I can get any of them?
Ans: As it has already been said, you can try..... It is not said that you will get one of them. The cut-offs vary year by year, hence one has to work based on predictions. The scenario changes even after the CAP 3 round and at the time of the spot round. If you have little patience, you can wait till spot round else CSE @ MIT-WPU is a also solid option.

Ans: With a 97.2 percentile in MHT-CET as a General category student from Maharashtra, getting CSE at VIT Pune in spot rounds is unlikely since the regular CSE cutoff typically ranges between 98.8-99+ percentiles for General category. However, alternative branches like Information Technology (97-98 percentile), AI & Data Science (97.5-98.5 percentile), or Electronics & Telecommunication (95-97 percentile) at VIT Pune remain viable options. Your percentile opens doors to excellent colleges including PICT Pune for non-core branches, PCCOE Pune for CSE/IT, MIT Pune for various branches, DY Patil Pune, Sinhgad Institute of Technology, JSPM Pune, AISSMS College of Engineering, and Zeal College of Engineering. These institutions maintain strong industry connections, modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, robust placement cells, and comprehensive student support systems. Government colleges like COEP Pune for Civil/Mechanical Engineering, VJTI Mumbai for non-CSE branches, or SPCE Mumbai also become accessible. Private colleges, such as Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, Thakur College of Engineering, and various Sinhgad colleges, offer quality education with decent placement records exceeding 75–80%. Since VIT Pune spot rounds typically accommodate withdrawals rather than offering new seats, focusing on confirmed admissions through regular counselling rounds proves more strategic.

Recommendation: Secure admission at PICT Pune, PCCOE, or MIT Pune through regular rounds rather than waiting for uncertain VIT Pune CSE spot opportunities. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Got admission for pg mtec at vit vellore in embedded system. Preferring vlsi but no chance and hence decided to study embedded. Is it good for placement?
Ans: Vellore Institute of Technology’s M.Tech in Embedded Systems is a solid choice, especially if VLSI didn’t work out. VIT Vellore has strong industry connections, and recent placements show opportunities in embedded software, firmware, automotive electronics, IoT, verification, and semiconductor-related roles. However, success in embedded placements depends more on skills than just the branch. Recruiters typically look for strong C/C++ programming; knowledge of microcontrollers, RTOS, embedded Linux, ARM architecture, and digital electronics; communication protocols like CAN, SPI, and I2C; and basic VLSI and Verilog knowledge, along with relevant projects and internships. Placement trends for VIT’s M.Tech Embedded in the last few years has been decent but generally below top VLSI roles, with many students also moving into software or IT roles. Core embedded and VLSI companies recruit selectively, so it’s important to build a semiconductor-focused profile. Accepting VIT Vellore for Embedded Systems is a good step, and during the M.Tech, focusing on VLSI verification, SystemVerilog, FPGA, and Linux driver development will improve chances with semiconductor firms. This can lead to strong placements, but it’s essential to back the degree with practical skills and experience. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future!
