My daughter has got ec in bangalore institute of technology in 2nd round and can get eee in bmsce college in second extended round, sir can you please advise which one to choose

Dear Sir, I have sold my car to CARS24 and its many months they have not done RC transfer inspite of following up with them multiple times. I understand that till RC transfer is not complete then it is liability of the registered owner, Can I keep buying third party insurance till vehicle is in my name to cover my liability, even when the car is not in my possession but RC is still in my name. Will insurance company honor any claims in this regard?

My OBC NCL rank is 5518.Is there any chance i could get IISER berhampur. The previous year cutoff for IAT for OBC NCL is 4700 this jumped from 2,600(2024 cutoff for OBC NCL) due to increase of 100 seats in IAT. But this year they reduced the seat in IAT (reduced by 20 seats) but they increased in IIT , IIIT, GFTI, NIT drastically upto 4700 seats which is massive so is there a chance I could get this year.

Ans: If your other option is a good B.Tech CSE (for example, at a reputable private or government engineering college), please prefer B.Tech CSE for better immediate placements. If your alternatives are average engineering colleges, and you genuinely enjoy mathematics and are open to higher studies or data-centric careers, then BS-MS Mathematics & Computing is a worthwhile option. Finally, if you do not have options for CSE, then go with MnC @ BIT Patna

The moment someone in family gets diabetes, suddenly everybody starts watching their plate more than their own. If I take even one small sweet at a wedding or function, people react like I’ve done something dangerous. Is eating dessert once in a while really that bad for diabetics, or do people unnecessarily panic seeing sugar?

Ans: A diabetic can safely enjoy occasional sweets if their overall blood sugar control is good and the portion is small. Most families think diabetes is caused by “eating sugar,” so they assume any sugar is dangerous. This is oversimplified and incorrect. People don’t understand portion control, carb counting, glycemic load, medication timing and blood sugar patterns. Most relatives panic because they’re worried, not because they’re right. It’s protective behavior, just poorly expressed. Uncontrolled diabetes, very high fasting sugar, high HbA1c are risky situations

My daughter is very selective about her eating habits. For example, the same food she will eat better when she is with friends or at a birthday party. If we make the same favourite food at home, she will eat only a small portion and say she is not hungry. It is surprising and embarassing because she will demand extra portion of same food which she doesn't eat at all at our home. Does eating with friends or socially make them eat portions differently?

Ans: What you’re seeing with your daughter is extremely common, and it has nothing to do with hunger. It’s driven by psychology, environment, and social cues, not appetite. She may associate home meals with routine, not reward. She may enjoy the social meaning of food more than the food itself. Try eating together as a family, with themed dinners. At home, add small elements of fun or invite a friend over for dinner.
