Sir,my daughter got a crl 100k and ews rank 16k in jee mains, can she get any good college's CSE/DSAI/IT in csab? Please respond

Ans: With a CRL rank of 100,000 and an EWS rank of 16,000 in JEE Mains 2025, your daughter has a fair chance of admission into some NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs through CSAB counselling, particularly for branches like CSE, Data Science & AI (DSAI), or IT. While the opening and closing ranks for popular institutes in these branches are typically competitive, seats reserved under the EWS category have slightly relaxed cutoffs compared to the general category. For example, some NITs and IIITs close EWS category admissions for CSE and related specializations around an EWS rank of 10,000 to 20,000, with opening ranks starting lower. Although her CRL rank is on the higher side for common category selection in top institutes, her EWS rank puts her in a better position for reservation benefits. Factors such as institute reputation, faculty quality, infrastructure, placement records, and industry connections remain crucial in final seat allotment processes. Monitoring seat vacancy updates and filling choices strategically in CSAB 2025 counselling rounds will improve her admission prospects.

Recommendation: With an EWS rank near 16,000, your daughter should actively participate in CSAB counselling, targeting mid-tier NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs known for good academics and placement support in CSE, DSAI, or IT branches. Remain flexible with choices and consider opening options based on seat availability to maximize admission chances. One more suggestion: Have 2-3 back-ups of Private Engineering Colleges instead of relying only on CSAB. All the best for a Prosperous Future!

Sir,can you please suggest which IIITs/NITs should we prioritize now for that rank for CSE/DSAI/IT?
Ans: Your daughter's EWS rank of 16,000 and CRL rank of 100,000 places her in a competitive position for CSAB counselling at mid-tier NITs and IIITs in CSE, Data Science & AI, and IT branches. The EWS category typically has cutoff closing ranks ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 for these branches at various institutions. For NITs, she can target institutes like NIT Agartala, NIT Meghalaya, and NIT Hamirpur where CSE EWS cutoffs often extend to 15,000-18,000. Among IIITs, IIIT Jabalpur, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Ranchi, and IIIT Vadodara are viable options, with their CSE/IT programs having EWS cutoffs in the 16,000-20,000 range. The DSAI programs at these institutes generally have slightly higher cutoffs than CSE. Priority should be given to NIT Agartala, NIT Meghalaya for CSE if available, followed by IIIT Jabalpur and IIIT Dharwad for CSE or IT. IIIT Vadodara and IIIT Ranchi are good backup options. Essential institutional factors include NAAC/NBA accreditation, modern computing laboratories, experienced faculty with industry connections, active placement cells with 70%+ placement rates, and strong alumni networks facilitating internships and job opportunities.

Recommendation: Prioritize NIT Agartala, NIT Meghalaya for CSE, followed by IIIT Jabalpur, IIIT Dharwad for CSE/IT programs. These institutions offer quality education, decent placements, and fall within her EWS rank range, providing excellent career prospects in computer science fields. However, it is advisable to have 2-3 more backups of the the Private Engineering College instead of relying only on CSAB.

Sir but previous year IIIT Dharwad cse closing rank was around 66000 for ews type seat
Ans: As noted earlier, with a rank of 16,000, your daughter's chances for admission to IIIT Dharwad in CSE through CSAB are encouraging. Please keep in mind that closing ranks for all categories can vary each year, influenced by seat availability and application trends. For reference, the EWS category gender-neutral seats at IIIT Dharwad CSE through CSAB were approximately 9–16 in 2023 and 2024, with female EWS supernumerary seats usually limited to 2–3. I encourage you to review the latest official notifications and stay updated for the current year’s specifics. Anyway, Again, All The BEST for Your Daughter's Bright Future.

Sir, my daughter got 63836 rank in JEE mains , no reservations.. She is interested in CSE but she is not alloted any seat in Josaa..should we go with CSAB, if yes, which are good ? She agreed to take ECE or EEE also if CSE is not alloted in a good college.. Please guide us, We are thinking of taking a seat in ANITS vizag in CS cybersecurity which she got from APEapcet rank 10k...just in case she is not alloted any seat in CSAB in good colleges..
Ans: Archana Madam, Her JEE Main rank of 63,836 falls well outside the General closing ranks for CSE (top NITs close under 25,000, IIITs under 40,000 GFTIs under 60,000) but is within reach for ECE or EEE in select CSAB-participating institutes. NIT Nagaland’s ECE closed around 83,000 and EEE around 90,000 in 2024, making ECE at NIT Nagaland a viable CSAB option, while CSE remains out of reach. GFTIs such as Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar admit CSE applicants up to rank 150,500 and ECE to 205,678, and Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) closed CSE at 87,826 and ECE at 137,220, offering solid CSAB opportunities in both branches. Assam University Silchar also allowed CSE up to 98,880 and ECE to 144,200, with robust infrastructure and 65–75% placements. ANITS Vizag’s BTech in CSE-Cybersecurity (AP EAPCET rank ~10,000) provides a strong alternative, boasting a 95% departmental placement rate and 50 recruiter partnerships over the last three years, but it carries higher private-college fees and lower national brand value.

Recommendation: Pursue CSAB seats in ECE at NIT Nagaland or in CSE/ECE at CIT Kokrajhar, CURAJ, or Assam University Silchar, as they align with her JEE rank, offer recognized degrees, and maintain 65–90% placement rates, while keeping the ANITS CSE-Cybersecurity seat as a dependable backup. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Sir me bcs final year me hu aur mujhse mba Krna he to kaise kya tyari kre aur sir me up board ka student hu private college mil jye jiski fees normal ho aur me cover kr lunga iske liye me kis chej ki tyari kru
Ans: For affordable, decent private options in UP and nearby (Delhi-NCR), focus on institutes like Jaipuria (Lucknow/Noida), BIMTECH Greater Noida, IMS Ghaziabad, ABS Noida, and similar AICTE-approved private colleges that provide clear information on fees and placements. Many of these have total fees in the 6–14 lakh range with average packages around 5–8 LPA, which is “normal” compared to premium schools. Typical eligibility is a recognised bachelor’s degree (any stream, including BCS) with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a valid score in at least one entrance test such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or the state exam (like UPCET/its successor) or the institute’s own test; selection then adds Group Discussion/Personal Interview/Written Ability Test. As a UP Board student, your board does not limit your chances; what matters is your graduation percentage, entrance score, and performance in the interview. From now on, you should prepare for one low-to-moderate difficulty MBA entrance exams. Shortlist 10–12 private colleges in UP/Delhi-NCR with fees and average placements that match your budget, then track their application dates and processes through official college and state counseling sites. ALL the BEST for Your Prosperous Future!
