I am currently pursuing B.Tech degree in IT from a pvt college, CGPA upto 2nd Semester is 6.89, My preference in future is to got a technical or non-technical Goverment Sector Job as the IT Market is volatile that will be my backup, So what should be my approach for now? Focus on GATE for PSU's or Prep for Placements/Internships in Service based IT Firms? & below 60% in CGPA will be very tough for any jobs?

Ans: Don’t rely only on PSUs! Competition is very high. Skills and experience can offset an average CGPA in private IT, while GATE/govt prep serves as your safety net. Try to raise your CGPA above 7, as many companies and some government roles use 60%+ as a cutoff, but 6.89 is still workable. Follow a dual approach: make placements/internships your main focus. Since service-based IT firms are the most practical entry, keep GATE prep as a slow backup. However, it is highly recommended that you contact your college's placement division for more details on the current requirements.

Hello sir I have done my BTech in civil engineering in 2020, because of covid one and half year wasted, after that I was in private job in second half of 2021 ,but later i resigned from there and decided to go towards It sector,for that i prepared for CCAT ,its an exam to get admission in CDAC , there i got selected for CDAC Noida and my courses started from September 2022 and finished on September 2023. There placement was 15-18% only this time.I also applied for outside but not getting enough package.So I am confused should I go for MBA/Mtech or still search for It jobs.

Ans: If you are not getting a job then dont worry about package, look out for a job with lower package, you will get some work ex and later based on your work experience you can look for a better paying job. Can simultaneously start preparing for MBA (if you are interested in that field). Preparation for MBA entrance can be done with a full time job. Based on how it progresses you can decide what to do.

What should he do for placement Prepare for Gate 25 for PSU job Take a DSA course for preparation of MNC jobs . Or he should do PHd Please suggest

My suggestion he should pursue the path that he would truly feel good about...let him first introspect why he got low CGPA...is it because he was not interested in the field or he took it lightly...if it is later then he can fix it...but if is not interested then he will have to do deeper soul searching...

Hi, Sir I am 23 years old. I belong from lower middle class family. I have done Diploma in Civil Engineering then I did B.Tech in Civil. But I am not interested in Civil due to family pressure,. I did this. After B. Tech I joined a coaching centre where I have learnt coding and aptitude. But after coming AI, IT market has down. Also companies are not hiring freshers. So, I am afraid that if Computer background students are not getting job then how will I survive in long term. Because of that I am doing govt job preparation. I am now confused that which direction would be suitable for me in the long term?

Ans: Hi
After completing Civil Engg, why you start computer coding is unable to understand. Those who aim for a job, start the preparation from 1st year itself. But you are too late. With the preparation of Govt Job Examinations, it would be better for you to join any company or firm which employs civil engineers for their projects. Your earning and learning will go simultaneously.
Don't sit at home only for the preparation of Govt job.
Discard the idea of learning coding etc related to computers. Rather learn some readymade software use from a civil engineering point of view. Some of them are Auto-CAD, Prima-Vera, STADD-pro, 3D-Max and many more.

You can register your name with Govt PWD Dept to work as a contractor also,

Hi I am 24 yrs old and I am working as a Software Engineer in a MNC but with a lower salary package and it's almost 1 year but I have not worked on any project and not got any hands-on experience yet . I want to pursue my career in Computer science and Technology domain . Recently I explored some government job posts related to Computer Science like IT officer in public sector banks etc. I don't want to puruse master's like M.techbecause I don't want to go in teaching field. What would be a better option for me 1. To SWITCH my company and side-by-side prepare for govt IT related posts ? and if yes then what other jobs like IT officer can I explore? 2. Or can I go for MBA in computer science for better Salary package in private sector?? 3. Which sector do you thing will grow more in future private IT sector or Govt. related IT jobs??

Ans: You have different options
1. Do short term courses along with your current job which is relevant to industry requirement and look for jobs and projects in that area.
2. Do MBA in IT. Prepare for MBA entrance along with your job.
3. Write Govt exams to get into a government job related to IT.
The syllabus for MBA entrance and Govt jobs is similar so you can do both.

Is it a first drop or attempt? Kindly clarify.
Congrats that your daughter wanting to become a doctor. So her main goal is to succeed in the NEET exam. In this context she should divert by doing some useless course that to the course (bioinformatica) that you have mentioned can be pursued online. Secondly, biotech course can't be pursued online. To get a qualification, one has to attend the course regularly, then only they or anyone can acquire skills in the BT stream...Many universities/colleges are not well-equipped for BT. I think you might have noticed that our government is planning to spend lakhs of crores for BIOPHARMA.
So my suggestion is, let her prepare for the NEET exam without any hindrance. Also, she should not divert from other aspects.

Ans: No, after BAMS, no course legally permits you to practice allopathic (MBBS) medicine independently. You must complete an MBBS degree to practice allopathic medicine.

Ans: Use your Class 10 CBSE marksheet name exactly as printed (“Bhole Sharad”) for NEET UG 2026, and if Aadhaar differs, update Aadhaar to match your CBSE records before applying, i.e., before counselling.

Ans: CSE @ Thapar is better than SNU. And SNU is newer and slightly behind in reputation and placements compared to Thapar and VIT. Yet, there is no harm in going with SNU.
