I am confused between bsc chemistry and bsc microbiology i dont know which is the best choice for me and i dont even what i want to do in the future ?

Ans: Hi Claudia,
Greetings from REDIFFGURUS!
Hi Claudia,

Chemistry has a lot more scope compared to microbiology. If you choose to pursue chemistry, here are some opportunities you can consider:

1. Higher Education: You can specialize in areas such as Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Environmental, Pharmaceutical, Biochemistry, Food chemistry, Food Analysis, Natural Products, Medicinal Chemistry, and Cosmetics.

2. Industry: There are numerous roles in the Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemicals, Food, and Cosmetics sectors, including Production, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance.

3. Academic Side: You could become a Teacher, Lecturer, or Coach, depending on the specific area of chemistry you choose to focus on.

The reason there is more scope in chemistry is that the demand for professionals in this field is higher compared to microbiology. So, there’s no need to confuse yourself. Take the time to plan your career goals and make your decision accordingly.

Additionally, there is a growing demand for food analysts abroad, as food chemistry is complex and requires specialized knowledge to quantify effectively.
