I am a B pharm Graduate (batch 2024) from MET Bhujbal knowledge City but after my completion of B pharm, I didn't get any industrial experience or good job. even seems like I lost interest in pharma field but i want to pursue MBA and want to settle in abroad, can you please recommend me countries which accepts MBA in Healthcare graduates from India. Even MBA in helathcare is better or Pharma MBA............even suggestion of course which can create interest are most welcomed because i completely lost my interest to work with pharmaceutical companies. moreover, I am doing medical coding course right now how can that course be helpful for me, are there any aboard opportunities in medical coding ?

Ans: If you want to settle abroad, it would be advisable to do MBA from abroad. Identify the country you want to settle and check the courses available in that country that suits you. In India you can do Healthcare MBA or Pharma MBA from colleges like TISS, GIM, NMIMS, etc. You will have to write entrance exams for the same.

Hlo, I was a Neet aspirant I gave neet after 12 th but scored very low, after I took drop and gave neet again but still I didn't score good enough. After that I have joined for BSC degree in life sciences, my majors are biotechnology, chemistry, zoology. Currently iam in final year. At first I had plans to pursue msc. biotechnology.,then PhD And to become assistant professor. But I had known few who did medical coding and one of them did masters but decided to do medical coding. I was advised to pursue medical coding too. I was little confused what to do , what is best for me. IM also unsure how much does the payment vary from both? Is it good choice to go for medical coding or msc ? Pls help me
Ans: Hello.
It is sad to hear that even after 2 attempts, you cannot score well in NEET.
But take a good decision to join B.Sc. in Life Sciences.
You are thinking in the right direction to go for a PG and then a PhD.
Being a professor is a good thought and this profession has a much more stable life than other fields.

Related to your dilemma about medical coding: Medical coding is the process of translating healthcare diagnoses, procedures, medical services, and equipment into standardized codes. These codes are used for billing purposes, insurance claims, and maintaining accurate medical records. Medical coding offers a stable career path with opportunities for advancement. You can go for medical coding but the payment criteria vary from institute to institute. It may range from 15 K to 30 K or on the higher side from 50 K to 70 K. There’s a high demand for medical coders in countries like the US, UAE, and Australia, offering higher salaries.
If you are not interested to shift to abroad for a job and want to stay in India only, then try to become a Professor rather than entertain in the medical coding field. First, you try to become a professor. Learn medical coding and then do two jobs simultaneously. First, teach the students and part-time, give your consultancy services in medical coding.

International Education Counsellor - Answered on Jul 28, 2025

Career
Hi sir, I am in my 5th semester of B.pharm in India and want to do a master's abroad. I am confused between Germany, US, UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia. I come from a lower middle-class family so among all I can manage Germany but for that too I think I have to take education loan, not sure if it affects my visa approval. According to scope I am planning to do courses like regulatory affairs, bioinformatics, toxicology, life science informatics, biotechnology or drug development. I expect CGPA around 8 - 8.5 and credit points around 205-210 which are not equal to European credit points. Can I still get admission? Any advice on best course and country?
Ans: You're thinking in the right direction. Here's a simple breakdown for you:
1. Country-wise Advice (based on budget and goals):
• Germany:
Best fit for you — low to no tuition fees in public universities.
Good options in biotech, drug development, bioinformatics, and life sciences.
You'll need around ?9–10 lakhs in blocked account + basic living costs.
Education loan is fine and doesn’t affect visa negatively if paperwork is clear.
• USA/Canada/UK/Australia/Ireland:
Expensive (?25–40 lakhs+). Scholarships are limited and competitive.
Better job opportunities after study, especially in regulatory affairs and toxicology.
You’ll likely need heavy loans and part-time work to manage.
2. About Your Profile:
• CGPA of 8–8.5 is decent.
• Indian credits won’t match ECTS, but German and EU universities understand that — so you are eligible.
• Just ensure you meet English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) and course-specific requirements.
3. Best Courses Based on Scope:
• Germany – go for Life Science Informatics, Drug Development, Biotechnology.
• Canada/UK – if budget allows, great for Regulatory Affairs, Toxicology, Pharmacovigilance.
• Focus on Germany. Apply early to 5–7 public universities.
• Learn basic German (A2/B1) to boost chances and employability.
• Education loan is acceptable—don’t worry if documents are strong.
