Here is the point-wise reply to your question: (1) To appear for KEAM or NEET, you have to take PCMB subjects in the 11th and 12th and appear for the respective entrance tests (2) If you are not interested in giving her stress then either she can prepare it via self-study or by joining any coaching classes (3) It is recommended to join offline classes and if your financial situation permits, then you can join any online classes only for "revision purpose". You should not remain dependent on online classes as they have huge drawbacks. (4) Related to the material, the concerned subject teacher will guide her. Yet it would be highly recommended to contact the recently passed students who cracked KEAM/NEET with high scores. Everybody referees different authors' books. But some of them are common for which your daughter can take the help. (5) Please keep in touch with the NTA website which offers free test series for NEET/JEE. (6) Ask her to focus on the interested subject either Bio or Maths. (7) Joining any coaching either offline or online mode does not carry a guarantee of success. One has to try himself. I hope, your daughter will also follow the same path of hard work to get success in either KEAM or NEET.

Can my son get into a prestigious NIT or IIT with a 91% in 12th Boards and 91 Percentile in JEE Mains?

Ans: Hello dear.
With a percentile of 91 in JEE, it would be difficult to get admission to NIT's. To get admission to IIT, one has to crack JEE (Adv). I think this might be his 1st attempt. Pl wait for 2nd attempt. But for the safer side, pl ask your son to appear for the state-level engineering entrance test. With a high score, he can easily get admission to CSE either in a Govt college or any reputed private college.

The validity of the caste certificate is one year. You may use the same certificate for application purposes, but you must have a valid one, including the creamy layer and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status, at the time of admission. Should I Pursue Msc in Clinical Embryology or Msc in Clinical Embryology & Assisted Reproductive Technology?

Ans: The NTA has started conducting eligibility exams for all PG courses, including professional courses like Pharmacy (MPHARM), known as the PG CUET exams. This is the first year for these exams, with 174 universities participating: 41 central universities, 38 state universities, 12 government institutions, 14 deemed universities, and 69 private universities. Similar to NEET, universities from all over India are involved, so you need not worry. Additionally, you may be able to obtain a scholarship to pursue your course. In the near future, many more universities are expected to join this initiative.

For your specific situation, you need to appear for the entrance exam for TEST PAPER SCQP17, based on the course you have studied and the one you have selected. In some cases, the syllabus is also provided. Therefore, you don’t need to struggle with the admission process. However, you should research which courses are offered by each university to gather the necessary details individually. If you haven't registered this time, you can always try again next time. Please note: A candidate can take up to four different test papers.

Can I switch from NEET to Astrophysics after becoming a doctor?

Ans: Hello dear.
I am glad to hear that you are interested in astrophysics and research in the space field. You made the good decision to take PCMB subjects in the 12th standard. You are preparing for two exams, KCET and NEET, without taking the help of any coaching center. Why are thinking negatively that you can't do the best in 1st attempt at this stage? Without thinking much more about the future, just focus on your syllabus and upcoming exams for which you are preparing. I can assure you that with any score in KCET, you can get admission to an engineering college provided that you have a minimum of 50% marks in the board examination. Considering your anxiety, and fear it would be better to focus more on KCET as your target is astrophysics and space research which can be turned into your dream if you enter into the engineering field. It would be very difficult for you to come back into the field of astrophysics if you chose the medical field. Hence, focus on KCET, crack it with high percentile, get admission to a good and reputed engineering college, and work on your dream. Even if you are not admitted to engineering, you can choose the path of astrophysics via B.Sc. + M.Sc. and equivalent courses. Best of luck to your upcoming bright future.

Ans: SJ, Just visit the JAC Delhi website and look at the Opening and Closing Ranks of CSE, ECE, and other Branches of DTU, NSUT, IIITD, IGDTUW, and DSEU up to Round 5. This will give you a good idea of which Branch you will get for your NTA Score. Instead of depending only on government colleges for CSE/ECE, it is better to have a Plan B and a Plan C. You can do this by taking two or three more entrance exams and/or going through the counseling process at some colleges that accept JEE-Main scores. 95.75 percentile in JEE Mains 2025: Open EWS Maharashtra - Admission chances?

Ans: Alkesh Sir,With a 95.75 percentile, it will be hard to get into the CSE branch at any of the top NITs or IIITs. Based on his JEE-Main score, it's more likely that he will get into any of the best colleges through MHT-CET. For the JEE Advanced, it depends on how smartly and strategically he studies until the date of the exam, and if he is given a rank, he MIGHT get above AIR-17000. As a backup plan, you should take at least four more entrance tests or go through the counseling process. These could be SITEEE (Symbiosis of Pune), COMED-K of Karnataka, PES University of Bengaluru with JEE Main by Registering online now, KIIT of Bhubaneswar, and others. To get a good idea of how likely it is that you will get into any NIT, IIIT, or other institute through JoSAA counseling, please visit the JoSAA website and look at the data for the opening and closing ranks for 2024. Ans: Velavan Sir, to get admission into Engineering Physics in any one of the top 4-5 IITs, your son should score below AIR-4500 in JEE Advanced though the Closing Rank for Engineering Physics for other IITs is around AIR-17-18000. After completing his UG in Physics or Engineering Physics, he can try for his PG/PhD in Astrophysics with Indian Institute of Astrophyics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) & Raman Research Institute. Abroad universities offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Astrophysics with entrance exams like SAT, bypassing JEE.

Ans: It's natural to feel low, but the key is to stay positive and focused. Many students improve in the second attempt with the right approach. Your son should identify weak areas from the January attempt and work on them. Focus on high-weightage topics, revise concepts, and practice previous year papers. He should take regular mock tests in exam-like conditions. He can use online lectures, crash courses, or coaching if needed. I got 99.49 in JEE session 1. Should I focus on JEE session 2 or JEE Advance?

Ans: JEE ADVANCE. In the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), "JEE Session 1" and "JEE Session 2" refer to the two separate attempts of the JEE Main exam, which is the first stage of the JEE, while "JEE Advanced" is the second, more difficult stage that only those who qualify JEE Main can take, primarily for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Now if the child is confident then straight away go for JEE ADVANCE. I think he should go for that. But this is my view based on the present situation. But if your son is still a bit diffident then let him improve his score through JEE session 2 and after that he can go for JEE ADVANCE. But I personally feel there is no point in wasting energy and time for JEE 2. Let him concentrate on JEE ADVANCE, if he prepares well and on that particular day his luck cooperates then he will get any of the IITs. In our time there were only five IITs and one BHU-IT. But now there are many IITS. So certainly he should get in one of the IITs based on his rank of JEE ADVANCE. But please note one thing, never compromise with the stream, you are free to compromise with the institutes. If stream of his interest is not taken he will start cutting sorry figures. Remember, the JEE exam and passing engineering from 1st tier engg college can't be a parameter of success in life If you look nearby, many people are successful, but none of them have completed their engineering from 1st tier college or cleared JEE like competitive examinations. You tried your best but failed to crack JEE in 1 or 2 attempts. No problem. You are not alone in this worst situation (as per your thinking)! You also gave the MHT-CET and got a good percentile (90.2). You could be admitted to a good private engg college with this percentile in Maharashtra. But why you did not take this decision is not clear. I would like to suggest you, please drop the idea of appearing for JEE this time and clear any state-level engineering entrance examination. Take admission to a reputed private engineering college and start you journey in a fresh mood. Do not get stressed at this stage. Even though his score is 91 percentile in 1st attempt, he can do well in 2nd attempt. But from the safer side, ask him to appear in the Karnataka State Engineering Entrance Examination also. Even if he scores less in JEE on 2nd attempt, he may good college via the state entrance examination in CSE or aeronautical engineering as per your wish. There are no such courses to be called as recent. The choice of courses depends upon the interest of your son. Hence there is no need to hurry and get into panic at this stage.
